The Torres Strait Regional Authority (TSRA) has announced Ms Abigail Harry as its newest Board Member following official advice from the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC).

Ms Harry joins the TSRA Board as the Member for TRAWQ ward.

TSRA Chairperson George Nona said the vacancy was filled in line with AEC advice, in accordance with the TSRA Election Rules after the resignation of elected member, Ms Ella Kris.

“I warmly acknowledge the contributions, leadership and dedication of our former Deputy Chairperson and Member for TRAWQ, Ella Kris,” Mr Nona said.

“We thank Ms Kris for her service and acknowledge Ms Harry as she begins her role representing her community on the TSRA Board.”
