Torres Strait Development Plan 2009-2013
The Torres Strait Development Plan 2009-2013 (Development Plan) is the fourth since the establishment of the TSRA. The Plan outlines clearly how TSRA will, through seven new or revised programs (Economic Development; Culture, Art & Heritage; Native Title; Governance & Leadership; Healthy Communities; Safe Communities), contribute to the Council of Australian Governments (COAG) Building Blocks for overcoming Indigenous disadvantage, the six ‘Closing the Gap’ targets, and Indigenous-specific outcomes of National Partnership Agreements. The TSRA has also formulated the Development Plan to contribute to the regional goals expressed in the Torres Strait and Northern Peninsula Area Regional Plan 2009 - 2029 (Regional Plan).
