TSRA ANNUAL REPORT 2010 - 2011

The Torres Strait Regional Authority has released its 2010-2011 Annual Report, a major accountability document to the Australian Parliament.

The Annual Report provides details of the operations and performance of the TSRA for a twelve month reporting period which commences on 1 July and finishes 30 June.

The Annual Report is tabled in both houses of the Australian Parliament and has been prepared in accordance with Section 144ZB of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Act 2005 and Section 9 of the Commonwealth Authorities and Companies Act 1977.

The TSRA is also a Native Title Representative Body (NTRB) and is required to provide an Annual Report of its operations and performance as a Representative Body.  This includes financial statements prepared in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards to the Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (FaHCSIA).  This information is contained in the TSRA’s Annual Report and can be found in the Native Title Representative Body section of the report.

The Annual Report details TSRA's achievements and includes: regional overview, report of operations, program reports including case studies, Chairperson's message, General Manager's review, details of the TSRA Board, financial statements, and information about TSRA's grants and consultancies.
